To me , macro is like looking at the world, but a miniature slice of it.

Hi Tanya,
Thank you very much for your articles on SLR photography. I find the collection highly useful. I am also recommending your website to my friends who are getting into my new hobby.
Six months ago I bought a Nikon D40 with two lenses. I use Sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 macro lens mounted on Nikon D40 for macro photography. As I wanted to enhance (not satisfied with 1:4 macro) I bought a set of close-up lenses ( +1, +2, +4, +10). I have taken few photographs using Sigma Macro + close-up lense combination, but the focus is not proper.
How to get the best results - please give some suggestions?
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
i4macro
Hi, Have you tried turning off the auto focus and doing it manually instead? I find that's what I need to do with close up lenses.
Kind Regards.
Tanya.
