Canon EOS 450D (also called EOS Rebel XSi) - What specifications are being improved?
Many of you may have noticed reviews starting to pop up all over the net on the much anticipated Canon EOS 450D / EOS Rebel XSi. The Canon 450D of course will be the next consumer product following Canon's 400D model.
While it's hard to make any comments on the Canon eos 450D until it actually comes out on the shelves, the specifications so far look good.
How is the Canon EOS 450D / EOS Rebel XSi better than Canon 400D digital camera?
The main Improvements seem to include:
- A bigger 12.2 megapixels CMOS sensor. Along with this, image sizes are bigger, with the large format being 4272 x 2848, 3088 x 2056 for the medium and 2256 x 1504 for the small format.
- A larger 3-inch LCD screen.
- It's also boxed with 2 better lenses than the Canon company normally gives with their camera bodies (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilizer Lens, EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Lens).
- Shooting capabilities of 3.5 frames per second is faster than its predecessor.
- Metering modes are slightly different. Canon 450D gives a choice between 4 metering modes: evaluative 35-zone, partial 9% at center, spot 4% at center and center-weighted average.
So far, the new Canon EOS D450 (EOS Rebel XSi) due out around April this year looks like it will be a popular choice for many new photographers or those wanting to upgrade from earlier models. It certainly will be worth seeing if it lives up to expectations.
